Storage for probate and house clearance in Benfleet
Clearing the home of someone you love is hard, and it rarely runs to a neat timetable. Probate can take months, the house may need to be sold or handed back, and family members may not all be able to get together at once. A storage room gives you somewhere safe and dry to keep their belongings while you take the time you need.
Why storage can help during probate
- Time to decide. You don't have to choose what to keep, share or let go of in a single weekend. Move things into storage and go through them when the family is ready.
- Keeping things safe. Furniture, papers, photos and keepsakes stay secure while the house is sold, rented or cleared. Our building has 24-hour CCTV and every room is individually alarmed.
- Indoor and dry. All rooms are inside an insulated building, so belongings are protected from the weather.
- Easier on the day. Every room is on the ground floor, with drive-up to the door, so there are no stairs or lifts to manage.
Which size might suit
We have rooms of 20, 30, 35, 40, 50, 75 and 120 sq ft. As a rough guide, the smaller rooms suit boxes, papers and a few pieces of furniture, while the larger rooms suit the contents of a house. Every home is different, so if you're unsure, call Lee and he'll talk it through with you. You can also check sizes and prices online.
Flexible, month to month
After the minimum stay, you can keep your room month to month for as long as you need it, and give notice when you're finished. Storage cover is optional, or you can use your own insurance.
Working with your solicitor or house-clearance firm
Many families ask their solicitor, executor or a house-clearance firm to help. That's fine with us. You can arrange for someone you trust to access the room using your own PIN code, and Lee is happy to answer their questions too.
